(MLA, UC Berkeley ’97) is the principal of Arboricultural Consulting Services. He has more than thirty years of experience working with trees in the built environment. He is a Certified Arborist and a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists. From 2000 -2004 he was the Lead Arborist at the Berkeley campus, and established the UC Berkeley Tree Fund. In addition to his private practice, Richard teaches arboriculture in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at UC Berkeley.
